SCANDINAVIAN MOUNTAINS AIRPORT

Scandinavian Mountains Airport is a new facility built on the previous site of the small Sälen airfield on the Swedish side of the border with Norway. It will open for commercial traffic December 2019 and all the infrastructure is new and state of the art including the airspace which until now has been uncontrolled airspace. The Airport is the first in the world to be built with a Remote Tower (RTC) from opening and will be the first new airport in Europe to be completely approved in accordance with EASA regulations. The Airport is open for commercial and general aviation but is closed for all traffic between 2200 and 0700.

Commercial apron: 4 code C stands with code D/E options
General Aviation apron including refueling with UL91
Terminal: 4 walk in/walk off gates, tax-free shopping, restaurant, car hire, taxi, bus transport, border control, customs
